This week was good.

Here are some of the reasons why…

On Monday, Bryan High had their first Young Life club of the semester and I got to see some of my sweet high school friends that I have missed so much.

On Tuesday, I started my new job. My sweet roommate, Morgan, got me a job at First Baptist Church in Bryan with her. Every other Tuesday I will be getting paid to play with babies. Lucky? I think yes.

On Wednesday, I got to spend some time with a friend from camp that I haven’t seen in months. I got to have to dinner with some other great friends. AND (this may have been the best part of the week) I started another Beth Moore bible study. This semester we are walking through the book of Daniel and words cannot express how excited I am. The first half of the study is focused on escaping the Babylonian mindset and adopting an eternal one and the second half of the study focuses on eschatology and end time events. I. Can’t. Wait.

On Thursday, I fell in love with yoga again. I had my first yoga kinesiology class and it was just so fun. I forgot how much I love yoga and how good I feel after I do it. Why I ever stopped, I will never know. I got to spend some really great time with the girls on my team. I think we spent about an hour talking about our secular lives, the lives we would lead if we didn’t know Jesus. We decided that if I didn’t know Jesus I would probably end up being like one of the Real Housewives on Bravo. Isn’t that a scary thought? Praise Jesus that He has my heart and has rescued me from that empty existence.

On Friday, I got to share testimonies with and be encouraged by my sweet friend Annemarie. We have not known each other very long, but she has already blessed my life in more ways than she will ever know. I also got to see Phil Wickham LIVE for the very first time. Getting to raise hands and worship the same God with hundreds of other Aggies to the music of my favorite worship artist was reason enough that this week was good.

And today, I got to have a picnic in the park and lay in the sun.

Oh! And last but not least, this week I found out Anthropologie is going bridal. Does it get any better? I don’t think so.

This week God blessed me and taught me and grew me.

This week was good.
