1. The ever present joy that the Good News of Easter left behind
Jesus, fully God and fully man, was beaten, mocked, humiliated and murdered on my behalf and yours. His pain and His suffering paid the debt for our sins, our iniquities, and our transgressions. Oh wait. It gets so much better… not only did He die for us, three days later He got up from the grave. He took on the sin of the world and then He came back and defeated death and hell. That. Is. SO Awesome. Our Savior rose on Sunday 2011 years ago and is still alive today. Gosh! Isn’t that just awesome. God is too good!
2. Mumford and Sons Pandora radio station
Go listen.
3. The book Heaven is For Real by Todd Burpo and Heaven in general
When the author’s little boy was three years old he had an emergency appendectomy and during surgery got a sweet glimpse into Heaven. The book is record of what he saw. This story is real and so is Heaven and I have never been so jealous of a three year old in my entire life.
4. The fact that I, lover of all things concerning weddings, princesses and happily-ever-afters, managed to stay out of all the royal wedding hype
Not gonna lie… I’m pretty proud of my self.
5. Morgan, Abby and Meredith
607 fo life.
6. Baking
All day, Errday.
7. The smell of pipe tobacco
It smells too dang good.
8. The fact that in exactly two weeks I will be at Robyn’s lake house… sitting in the back of the boat… taking in all the sun I can get… with some of my best friends… Summer come faster please!
Meredith I know you don’t want to miss this.
9. The realization that I might complete my summer reading list for the first time in my life, due to my limited mobility from surgery
Look at me… finding that silver lining.
10. The anticipation of what the Lord is going to do this weekend at the Young Life Dallas retreat my team and I are going too
I really have no idea what to expect, but I know the Lord is about to blow me away!
